What's a turkey?

I hate it when you're bowling and your with people (almost always a girl) that throw the ball down the lane and then DON'T EVEN WATCH IT TO SEE WHAT IT HITS. It's like this mock modesty/i don't really care thing that really makes me mad. WHY ARE YOU PLAYING IF YOU DON'T EVEN CARE IF IT HITS PINS? Not that it has to be all serious but don't throw the ball and immediately spin around on one foot trying to be all cute.
